As a Cyber Security Architect, you will be a critical part of the Endeavour cybersecurity team and a key driver of the Cyber Security strategy via engagement with the IT transformation and underlying projects.

The complexity of the environment creates the opportunity for the successful candidate to establish a solid foundation for the organisation to traverse the required transformation over the coming years.

The candidate will work closely with stakeholders both in the business and the Cyber Security team. They will have involvement with an assortment of security projects that support the business.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

• Review current system security measures recommending enhancements
• Work closely within the architecture team to ensure security requirements are accounted for at design time.
• Produce required security documentation and patterns 
• Ensure relationships with all project stakeholders are developed and maintained.
• Assist with definition of features and user story decomposition
• Convey to stakeholder the security implications and inherent risks of various designs
• Working closely with project teams to ensure security requirements are accounted for at design time.
• Being able to rate and quantify risks a design exposes the organisation to
• Act as the conduit between security architecture, risk and project teams
• Consult and suggest improvements to documented control patterns

Now let’s talk about you: 

• A solid understanding of fundamental security concepts; such as: Securing operating systems, virtualisation and containers, Securing public cloud and related DevOps automation, Identity and access management, Security protocols and secure configuration
• A basic understanding of: Network security, Application security
• A firm grasp on security best practices and the ability to guide development teams and external vendors
• An understanding of  IT risk management processes and the ability to rate risks based on actual business impacts is essential
• Good working knowledge of current IT risks and experience implementing security solutions
• Ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel to explain and enforce security measures
• Ability to conduct a range of assessments, including Gap and Risk Assessments, on a wide variety of projects.
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities and tasks concurrently
