The Finance Business Partner is a dynamic, customer-centric finance professional who excels at commercial thinking and building strong relationships across all levels of management. This role demands a genuine passion for interpreting large volumes of data to deliver actionable insights to the business. The ideal candidate will be proactive in managing deadlines, adept at innovative problem-solving, and possess exceptional attention to detail. Crucially, the Finance Business Partner must be highly confident and capable in engaging with stakeholders, partnering closely with the business to provide essential financial insights.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:
The Finance Business Partner - Commercial (Spirits) key role is to support our Merchandise Finance team, to effectively partner with the Spirits Merchandise team to drive the business performance goals. As an experienced story teller and influencer, this role will partner with and influence the Merchandise Team on all commercial decision making. Using data lead insights, simple and clear storyboarding in a timely fashion will be key to your success.
- Own and manage the weekly and monthly performance reporting insights, including clear communication of key drivers
- Provide detailed analysis and recommendations on category pricing, ranging, promotional activities and supplier contracts
- Proactively communicate commercial impacts on past and future activities amongst stakeholders
- Develop initiatives to improve visibility and accountability of category Sales and Profit performance
- Support strategic and project analysis to drive improved returns on capital investments and business initiatives
- Proactively work with key stakeholders to optimise ways of working
- Own the P&L and associated commentary for the category
- Play a key role in the forecast and budget processes for the category
- Clear and effective communication across multiple groups of stakeholders
Now let’s talk about you:
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting (post Graduate roles)
- CA/CPA qualification;
- Advanced experience using financial systems in a commercial environment e.g. Excel, Powerpoint, SAP, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to navigate through a complex organisational structure and work effectively cross functionally
- Strong presentation and storyboarding skills
- Advanced time management and prioritisation skills
- Able to communicate complex financial information simplistically
