Head Chef | Henley Beach Hotel
We’re searching for a Head Chef to lead the kitchen at the Henley Beach Hotel - the beating heart of our local community and the place where pub classics meet plates locals can’t get enough of.
The smell of the ocean in the air, steaks on the grill and the sounds of friends toasting their glasses celebrating the good times, that’s what to expect from Henley Beach Hotel. Here at Henley we’re more than a pub, we’re a local destination and we’re part of the community.
We’re smack bang in the middle of The Esplanade, a stone’s throw away from the beautiful waters of Henley Beach. Our menu is inspired by our surroundings with a selection of delicious fresh seafood, succulent steaks and all the pub favourites our guests know and love. If our guests are after a more casual drink then they can sip a beer in our sports bar while watching the waves hit the shoreline.
Only a short drive from both Adelaide’s city centre and the airport, we’ve got everything our guests need to make their Henley Beach experience great.
The Salary: From $87,000 + superannuation + bonus
A day in the life of a Head Chef:
- Command the kitchen like it’s your own, keeping it running smooth, safe, and profitable
- Be a key part of the leadership crew, working closely with the Publican and FOH team
- Share your passion, skills, and creativity to grow a high-performing kitchen team
- Keep the connection between the kitchen and front of house flowing with good vibes and great food every shift
Inherent requirements:
This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

- You’ve got the experience, confidence, and pride to own the kitchen and make it shine
- You’ve got trade cooking qualifications and food safety certifications sorted
- You live and breathe the Head Chef life - creating food people talk about and coming in each day ready to lead
