As a key member of the Privacy Team, you will support the Privacy Lead in significantly enhancing Endeavour's privacy posture and operationalizing a comprehensive privacy framework across the entire organization.
This role offers significant autonomy and responsibility for an experienced legal or privacy professional seeking diverse, cutting-edge work and excellent career development.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:
- Providing timely, high-quality advice on complex privacy matters, including new technology and AI initiatives.
- Work closely with stakeholders across the business to provide expert privacy advice and guidance and conduct privacy impact assessments.
- Leading and conducting complex Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for new projects and systems
- Develop and maintain privacy policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Designing and delivering privacy training and education to embed a strong privacy culture across the business.
- Assist in the management of privacy incidents and regulatory notifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Cyber, Compliance, and Data Governance, to strengthen the company's privacy culture.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of privacy training programs.
- Participate in strategic initiatives related to data privacy, including the responsible use of data and AI.
Key Results (Role Specific):
- Contribute to the enhancement of Endeavour's data privacy programme and framework.
- Identify and mitigate privacy risks.
- Provide guidance on regulatory changes and best practices.
- Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders.
- Support the delivery of privacy initiatives and projects.
- Promote knowledge sharing and process improvement within the Privacy Team.
Now let’s talk about you:
The role requires an experienced professional with a strong understanding of privacy law, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, evolving business environment. The role would suit a self-starter who thrives on plenty of responsibility and keen to deepen their privacy skills.
- 4 - 5+ years of Legal experience, preferably in privacy/technology/commercial law or in a privacy regulatory/compliance role.
- Legal qualifications and training are essential as the role requires solid legal skills and foundational knowledge.
- Exposure to or experience in the retail and/or gaming industries would be an advantage (but not mandatory).
- In-depth knowledge of Australian data privacy laws and regulations.
- Proven ability to draft policies and standards, conduct privacy impact assessments, and manage privacy incidents, complaints and notifiable data breaches.
- Experience in designing and delivering privacy training and education sessions.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, in a fast-paced environment, manage a host of matters and deliver timely and commercial, risk-based, advice.
- Experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Familiarity with privacy frameworks and data governance principles.
- A keen interest in data, AI, and emerging technologies.
- Ability to work as part of a close-knit team, collaborate and share knowledge and support with more junior team members.
