The Test Lead will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality of testing across our Internal Communication platform and integrations, You will be reporting to the Head of Enterprise Testing and will be performing a hybrid leadership/hands-on role that will involve test planning, scripting and execution across all test phases.

This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a meticulous attention to detail. You will be accountable for ensuring testing is carried out efficiently and effectively across all types of testing—functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance. You will collaborate with system integrator (SI) partners, business teams, program managers, and functional analysts to ensure the success of the testing phase, while ensuring all testing efforts adhere to governance processes and meet quality standards.


About the Role

●Testing Governance & Oversight:

     ○ Lead and ensure proper governance of testing activities across the project, ensuring alignment with quality standards, program requirements, and timelines.

     ○ Work closely with the Enterprise Testing practice to define and implement testing processes, tools, templates, and best practices.

     ○ Oversee the testing efforts of 3rd party vendors and partner teams, ensuring that testing deliverables and timelines are met in line with agreed-upon standards.

● Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

     ○ Collaborate with system integrators, program managers, functional analysts, and business teams to ensure the testing scope and deliverables are clearly understood and met.

     ○ Facilitate communication between third-party vendors and internal stakeholders, escalating issues and risks as needed.

     ○ Ensure alignment across all teams regarding the testing approach, priorities, and timelines.

● Test Planning & Execution:

     ○ Contribute to the development of test strategies and test plans, ensuring all types of testing (functional, integration, regression, UAT, performance) are covered.

     ○ Involved in the creation and execution of test cases, ensuring that testing progresses according to schedule and issues are identified and addressed in a timely manner.

     ○ Ensure the accuracy and completeness of test coverage, identifying any gaps and working with teams to address them.

● Automation Testing:

     ○ Identify opportunities for test automation

     ○ Build case for test automation and provide guidance on frameworks and tools ○ Implement test automation capability

● Risk Management & Quality Assurance:

     ○ Monitor testing progress, identifying any risks, blockers, or issues, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve them.

     ○ Ensure that defects are tracked and resolved according to agreed-upon timelines, and report on defect trends to highlight areas of concern.

     ○ Support continuous improvement efforts in testing processes, tools, and methodologies.

● Documentation & Reporting:

     ○ Maintain clear and concise documentation for all testing activities, including test plans, test scripts, defect logs, and testing reports.   

     ○ Provide regular updates on testing progress to key stakeholders, including the status of defects, issues, and risks.

     ○ Contribute to post-test reviews, summarizing testing outcomes and providing recommendations for future improvements.

● Support & Guidance to Testing Teams:

      ○ Provide technical guidance to 3rd party testing teams and ensure that they have the necessary support and resources to execute tests effectively.

     ○ Ensure that all testing teams understand and adhere to program standards and processes.

     ○ Collaborate with team members to resolve issues and maintain alignment with project goals.

 


What do we need from you

Essential

● Experience (2+ years) in a Test Lead or senior testing roles, preferably within a retail environment.

● Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and UAT testing.

● Experience working with third-party vendors and partner teams in a testing leadership role, overseeing their deliverables and ensuring alignment with program objectives.

● Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Tricentis TOSCA).

● Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), and modern testing practices.

● Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.

● Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

● Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.

Desirable

● Experience in the retail or e-commerce domain.

● Certification in testing methodologies (e.g., ISTQB, Agile).

● Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Jira, ALM, Zephyr), Automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TOSCA) and CI/CD pipelines
