The Vendor & Risk Governance Manager will steer both vendor and risk operations within the Technology domain, combining vendor relationship management with the implementation and oversight of risk controls.

Vendor Management:
Lead vendor performance oversight, ensuring service levels and contract compliance while fostering value-driven partnerships. Manage service delivery reporting, account governance, benchmarking, and contribute to commercial activities such as contract management, onboarding, and dispute resolution. Collaborate closely with Service Management and Technology Solution Managers to define and monitor key metrics, proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and drive remediation through joint action plans.

Risk Governance:
Working with Technology LT members and their respective leadership teams, this role will have the opportunity to meaningfully affect the management of risk across Technology, which is critical to delivering Endeavour’s strategy and ensuring compliance requirements are met.
The role will be involved in a wide range of risk management activities and projects that have diverse business stakeholders including risk assessments, documentation of risks and controls, control testing and tracking the progress of audit actions.

This hybrid role is tailored for a seasoned professional experienced in vendor or relationship management and operational risk control. It is critical in delivering both vendor performance excellence and embedding robust risk frameworks in the Technology function.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

Vendor Management 

  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with technology vendors and service providers.
  • Manage vendor relationships at the service delivery level ensuring efficient and effective operation of third-party management processes. 
  • Establish regular cadences with key technology vendors and build a framework to manage vendor performance ensuring service delivery, reporting, problems/incidents, disputes, etc. are actioned and/or delivered in line with agreed SLAs. 
  • Proactively drive and manage vendor SLAs and work closely with Service Management and Technology Solution Managers to provide reporting to leadership and relevant stakeholders.
  • Work with leadership and stakeholders to segment technology vendors and recommend a strategic approach in managing the vendor base. 
  • Continuously look for vendor-focused improvement opportunities with internally managed and vendor-managed processes to help drive efficiencies. 
  • Lead dispute resolution with vendors and ensure completion of root cause analysis in line with vendor performance.
  • Facilitate benchmarking/audit processes of vendors.

Risk Management 

  • Develop and update Technology and Cyber Risk Profiles
  • Oversee management of risks and provide key reporting
  • Define Issue and Incident Management processes
  • Establish Technology control library and risk matrix
  • Develop annual control assurance plan
  • Develop Line 1 Tech risk reporting including Board Risk reporting (Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and risk causes, actions, etc.)
     

What do we need from you

  • Proven experience in managing vendor performance for a large enterprise.
  • Solid understanding of technology contracts and managed service agreements. 
  • Strong relationship management skills with a focus on value-creation and dispute resolution.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, demonstrates a logical approach to problem solving.
  • Can demonstrate use of initiative, flexibility and innovative thinking.
  • Ability to work as an effective team member within a complex and fast paced environment.
  • Previous experience working with service partners, suppliers, system integrators etc.
  • Eye for detail, and ability to quickly understand requirements.
  • Experience working in a Digital environment.
  • Ability to think customer first and relate solutions back to the customer problem and outcomes.
  • Experience in retail, manufacturing or hospitality environments is desired
