As a Senior Test Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our organisation's software programs. With your Retail or FMCG experience, you'll lead a team of test engineers dedicated to program-level testing, collaborating closely with development teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to drive testing initiatives forward. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of program testing methodologies, extensive experience managing testing projects at a program level, and exceptional leadership and communication skills.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role

  • Lead and manage a team of test engineers/analysts, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise to ensure the successful execution of program testing activities.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies and plans tailored specifically for program-level testing, encompassing multiple software projects and interconnected systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers, development teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to define testing requirements, prioritise tasks, and facilitate effective communication and coordination.
  • Establish and maintain robust processes and workflows including end to end automation required for program testing, test case management, defect tracking, and test environment management, to ensure efficiency and consistency across programs.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues and challenges that may arise during program testing, proactively identifying and addressing areas of concern.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, partners, and third-party service providers involved in program testing activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Implement and promote best practices for test automation, performance testing, and other advanced testing techniques within the program testing team, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators and metrics related to program testing, providing insights and recommendations to optimise testing processes and deliverables.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and developments in program testing methodologies, tools, and technologies, and leverage this knowledge to enhance our testing practices and capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the program testing team and across the organisation, promoting a shared commitment to delivering high-quality software programs.

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you

  • 8 - 10+ years experience in a Retail or FMCG business working in a QA environment. 
  • 8 - 10+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on program-level testing and 8 - 10+ years in a leadership or management QA role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Deep understanding of program testing methodologies, including integration testing, system testing, and end-to-end testing across multiple software projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex program testing projects, delivering high-quality results on schedule and within budget.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders across the organisation.
